Christian Community at Narwee

How important is a good Christian community? Well, I’m just going to quickly share with you how Christian Community has impacted my life at Narwee.

Its been quite a number of years now, but a few years a go something happened in my life that completely changed the way I lived. My mother became quite ill, and to cut a long story short - life was looking hopeless for me.

However, it was through this experience that I began to question my belief’s and eventually came to know Jesus, as my personal Lord and Saviour.

In saying this – Christian community at Narwee played a vital part in my belief. At times, it was my backbone, it kept me going and lifted me up…

For me, Christian community at Narwee was:
* Something as simple as a smiling face... or a pat on the back… or a hug,
* It was a listening ear…
* Christian community is the expression of love and concern,
* Christian community is prayer,
* It’s sharing your happiness and sadness in your small group…
* Christian community a home-cooked meal delivered to my door when the last thing I wanted to worry about that night is what I was doing for dinner…
* Christian community is knowing that your youth group or small group is praying for you and want to support you in any way they can

Christian community is CHRIST'S love shown through the many people here - at Narwee. For me, it was God’s love channeled through this congregation (as a whole) AND though its (small groups) that impacted me the most.

I saw for myself how a living faith demonstrates itself through Christ’s love.

Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good work…”
